Pak minister asks masses to use as little fuel as possible

Speaking to journalists at the Parliament House, the minister said that it would've been a different case if Pakistan made its own petrol or if the country had oil wells. "The price of the fuel in the international market has reached up to $95 a barrel," he said, stating that the government has not imposed taxes on fuel prices in a bid to give "relief" to the masses.

"To be isolated by becoming the only state (to recognise the Taliban regime) would be the last thing we would want," the Prime Minister said, noting that Pakistan wanted the recognition of the Taliban government as a "collective process", the report said.

Earlier on Monday, the country's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested Hashmi, accused of running indecent trends against Khan on social media, Geo News reported. The agency has also seized Hashmi's mobile phone and other belongings. In her tweet, Maryam Nawaz went on to say that the PML-N is standing with the journalist and the FIA should also refrain from being a puppet of the government.

"Fake propaganda was being spread about the couple," she added, the report said. Farah further said that one should not stoop so low in politics that they start to spread lies about the personal lives of people.

As per details, the local police, in order to prevent themselves, allegedly allowed the accused to leave the police station in Mian Chunnu, Khanewal district, where the mob was present, the report said.
