ICC announces highest number of female match officials for inaugural U19 Women's T20 World Cup

It makes the tournament, starting from January 14, have the highest number of female match officials to be appointed for an ICC event. In all, 12 umpires and three match referees will officiate in the tournament, which will be played across four venues in the two host cities: Benoni and Potchefstroom. Former Sri Lanka women's team captain, Vanessa de Silva leads the ICC International Panel of Match Referees which includes former Bangladesh international cricketer Neeyamur Rashid and Zimbabwe's Owen Chirombe. The tournament will also see four members of the ICC International Panel of Umpires
Azam, Stokes, Raza, and Southee named nominees for ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year 2022 award

Raza had earlier earned nominations for Men's T20I and ODI player of the year for 2022 while Azam had a nomination against his name for the best 50-overs player of the year award for 2022. England were living a nightmare in Test cricket after humiliating series losses in the Ashes and the series against West Indies. India squad for ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023, tri-series in South Africa announced

"The All-India Women's Selection Committee has picked India's squad for the tri-series in South Africa starting in January and the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023," the BCCI said in a statement on Wednesday. The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 is set to begin on February 10, 2023, with Team India set to begin their campaign on February 12 against Pakistan in Cape Town.
