'Caste census, joint public meeting, seat sharing discussed in 1st meeting of coordination committee of INDIA'
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, the Congress General Secretary, Organisation, said: "A total of 12 members of the coordination committee today attended the meeting as Trinamool Congress’s Abhishek Banerjee could not attend the meeting, due to summon issued by the Enforcement Directorate arising out of the vendetta politics of the BJP and the Prime Minister."
Seat sharing to be discussed at INDIA alliance first coordination committee meet
The first coordination meeting will take place on September 13 at Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar's residence. The INDIA alliance had announced a 14 member coordination committee during its third meeting in Mumbai on September 1.

AIUDF to support opposition bloc ‘INDIA’, says party MLA
Party chief Badruddin Ajmal had earlier said that the party opposes the BJP and will back the ‘INDIA’ bloc. The MLA, citing Ajmal’s statement, said: "In the event that the ‘INDIA’ alliance needs a couple of additional seats in Assam in order to establish the country's next government in 2024, our party will gladly support it."

AAP confirms participation for INDIA's Mumbai meeting
Earlier, the INDIA organized two meetings first in Bihar and second in Karnataka, AAP participated in both the meetings. AAP was not happy with Congress leader Alka Lamba's remarks about Congress contesting all seven Delhi Lok Sabha independently. Some of AAP leaders had indicated that AAP will not attend crucial INDIA meeting in Mumbai.
