308 Pak-based Twitter accounts trying to disrupt farmers’ tractor rally on R-Day:  Delhi Police

According to Delhi Police, the claim is backed by intelligence and various other agencies from where the police are getting continuous reports of the total of 308 Twitter handles created for the disturbance. The accounts were created between January 13 and 18.

Police have said that the barricades would be lifted at Singhu, Tikri and Gazipur borders on January 26 after the Republic Day parade is over and the farmers would be allowed to enter up to 100 kilometres within Delhi with their tractors in a circular path on the routes discussed with the farmers.

Farmers from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, who are also the part of the protesters camping on the Ghazipur border, have also put up posters against the government and their organisation, at the site. On National Highways 24 and 9, adjacent to the border, the farmers' banners affixed to the signboards read: "Shoo away corporates, save the country and take back black laws".

The development came after a meeting of the farmer organisations with the Delhi Police, Haryana Police and UP Police on Saturday regarding the proposed tractor rally by the farmers. The Delhi Police issued an official statement saying that talks with the protesting farmers are still in the final stage.

No date for the next round of talks has been decided and the meeting will be held whenever farmer leaders are ready for a dialogue on the proposal given by the government in the 10th round of talks, on January 20. Government makes big offer to bring farmers around, proposes to defer laws

After the tenth round of talks with the farmer leaders, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the government has suggested deferring the laws for one-and-a-half years so that the farmer unions can consider them and resolve the issue by forming a committee with government representatives and farmers.
