The investigation is linked to alleged irregularities in the recruitment of staff for the Delhi Waqf Board. These searches are being carried out under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Katyal was detained after questioning on Friday night. His premises in New Friends Colony, Delhi, which was declared as an office of AK Infosystems, is reportedly being used by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as residential premises.

The ED on Monday issued summons for Kejriwal to appear for questioning on November 2 in connection with the alleged Delhi excise policy scam case. According to sources, Kejriwal has been formally called to appear before the ED on November 2. Kejriwal was subjected to questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in April.

Reacting to the ED summons, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said, "Now we have come to know that Chief Minister Kejriwal has been summoned by the ED. It makes clear that only motto of the Central government is to finish AAP by any means. And for this they are not leaving any stone unturned as they are registering false cases and to jail Kejriwal and finish the AAP."

According to sources, Kejriwal has been asked to appear before the ED on November 2. Kejriwal was questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in April this year. The summon comes on the day when the Supreme Court dismissed former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia's bail plea.

He said that he has given all the answers to agency.

Making his submission before a bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice S.V.N. Bhatti, ASG S.V. Raju, appearing for the Enforcement Directorate (ED), said that he had been instructed to say that the ED is considering making the Aam Admi Party an accused in the ongoing investigation in the PMLA case.

According to ED sources, the agency sleuths carried out searches at the premises of Khan in connection with a money laundering case.

The financial probe agency on Wednesday arrested Singh after carrying out searches at his residence in the North Avenue area. 

It is anticipated that scores of AAP workers can gather outside the ED’s office at Janpath to protest Sanjay Singh’s arrest.
