Enforcement Directorate Issues Summons to Mahua Moitra Over FEMA Violation Allegations

Moitra, who was expelled from the Lok Sabha in December last year, has been directed to appear before the ED on March 11.

According to sources, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra for questioning regarding a case of alleged violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

This summons comes after previous summonses were issued to Moitra under FEMA on February 14 and 20.

Moitra had faced scrutiny over accusations of receiving cash in exchange for posing queries in Parliament on behalf of businessman Darshan Hiranandani.
