Delhi excise policy case: ED to grill Vijay Nair, Dinesh Arora

Recently, the central agency moved a plea before the special PMLA court, seeking permission to further quiz them in judicial custody. Upon hearing their contention, the court granted them permission to visit Tihar Jail and record the statements.The ED has filed the third supplementary chargesheet in the matter and is likely to file the fourth soon.
Delhi court extends Sisodia's ED custody in excise policy case

On Friday, Special Judge M.K. Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Court had denied bail to Sisodia holding that that the evidence, prima facie, "speaks volumes" of his involvement in commission of the offence. The judge had also said that the purported medical condition of Sisodia's wife was not a reason to grant him bail in this case.
Excise policy scam: Sisodia denied bail in ED case

Special judge, Rouse Avenue Courts, M.K. Nagpal pronounced the order after having reserved it on April 18. The court had, a day before, extended Sisodia's judicial custody by two weeks in the case. On Thursday, the same court extended Sisodia's judicial custody till May 12, in the case being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Nagpal of the Rouse Avenue Court, the ED had earlier submitted that Sisodia had planted fabricated e-mails to show that there was a public approval for the policy. "We have evidence that Sisodia had e-mails planted. These have been received not only in the official e-mail account of the Excise Department but even in his personal e-mail account. The content of the e-mails was given by Sisodia which suited his agenda," the counsel for the ED had told while opposing the bail plea.
Lalu's daughter Ragini leaves ED HQ after 8 hours of questioning

After siblings Misa Yadav and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Ragini was summoned to join investigation on Wednesday. She had reached the ED's headquarters at around 11 a.m. and left it at around 7.30 p.m. On Tuesday, Tejashwi Yadav was questioned for about eight hours in the matter.

Tejashwi to join ED probe in 'land for job' case today

Tejashwi is likely to join the probe by 11 a.m. Earlier, he was questioned the CBI in the same matter on March 25.On the same day (March 25) his sister and Rajya Sabha Member Misa Bharti was questioned by the ED. In March, the ED had come up on record saying unaccounted cash of Rs 1 crore, besides gold and incriminating documents were recovered during the raids which were conducted at 24 locations in Delhi, Mumbai, Patna and Ranchi based on on the specific intelligence inputs.
ED summons Tejashwi Yadav in 'land for jobs' case

In March, the ED claimed unaccounted cash of Rs 1 crore, $1,900, 540 gms gold and 1.5 kg of gold jewellery and other incriminating documents were recovered during the raids conducted at 24 locations in Delhi, Mumbai, Patna and in Ranchi based on specific intelligence inputs.
Delhi High Court denies bail to Satyendar Jain, aides in PMLA case

On March 22, the court had reserved its order on their bail pleas. Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma said that Jain is an influential person and cannot be said to have satisfied the twin conditions for bail under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). "The simple fact is the CBI has filed a case of disproportionate assets (DA). The present court cannot go into the validity of these proceedings.
Excise scam: Probe at crucial stage, fresh evidence found against Sisodia, ED to Delhi court

The agency also sought time to argue on the bail application of the AAP leader. Special Judge M.K. Nagpal adjourned the argument on the application until April 12 while extending the judicial custody of Sisodia till April 17 in connection with the excise policy case being probed by the ED.
