No Ranji Trophy this season, after 86 consecutive years

Interestingly, in a letter addressed to all its affiliated state associations dated January 29, the Indian cricket board is mum on not organising the Ranji Trophy this season. It merely says that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to conduct the Vijay Hazare Trophy 50-over tournament and Senior Women's One Day tournament after the completion of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament.
Bairstow to return after 2nd Test: ECB clarifies after Thorpe comment

Rabada achieved the feat on Day Three of the first Test of the two-match series against Pakistan being played at the National Stadium here when he took the wicket of Hasan Ali. Rabada clean bowled Ali at his individual score of 21 for which the latter consumed 33 deliveries. The 25-year-old has taken just 44 matches to achieve the scalp 200 Test wickets, making him the fastest Proteas bowler to reach the milestone.

India racked up 759/7 wickets with Karun Nair scoring an unbeaten 303 and KL Rahul scoring 199. Sourav Ganguly hospitalised again with chest pain

Ganguly, 48, had suffered a blackout while working out at his personal gym on January 2 and was taken to Kolkata's Woodlands Hospital. He underwent angioplasty and other related tests there and was discharged from the hospital on January 7.
