Kagiso Rabada 8th Proteas bowler to scalp 200 Test wickets
Rabada achieved the feat on Day Three of the first Test of the two-match series against Pakistan being played at the National Stadium here when he took the wicket of Hasan Ali. Rabada clean bowled Ali at his individual score of 21 for which the latter consumed 33 deliveries. The 25-year-old has taken just 44 matches to achieve the scalp 200 Test wickets, making him the fastest Proteas bowler to reach the milestone.

Incidentally, the last Test match to be played at the venue was between the same teams over four years ago, in December 2016. India racked up 759/7 wickets with Karun Nair scoring an unbeaten 303 and KL Rahul scoring 199. Sourav Ganguly hospitalised again with chest pain
Ganguly, 48, had suffered a blackout while working out at his personal gym on January 2 and was taken to Kolkata's Woodlands Hospital. He underwent angioplasty and other related tests there and was discharged from the hospital on January 7.

Indian players were racially abused at SCG, confirms Cricket Australia
The Indian team had apprised match referee David Boon of racial abuse of players -- Jasprit Bumrah and Siraj -- by a section of the SCG crowd at the end of the third day's play during the Sydney Test. The incident again took place on the next day following which six people were evicted from the stand just before Tea during Australia's second innings on Day Four of the Test match.

The ICC had asked CA to submit a report on the incident within 14 days. CA believes the Indian players were subjected to racial taunting from beyond the boundary on the fourth day of the Test. Play was stopped for more than 10 minutes when India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj complained to the on-field umpires of the racial taunts coming from the stands in front of which he was fielding.
South Africa women beat Pakistan, complete 3-0 series win
Fast bowler Ismail claimed three for 22, fellow seamer Khaka took three for 29 and captain Luus nabbed her 100th wicket for South Africa with her three wickets for 35. Those strikes ensured the hosts defended 201 by restricting the tourists to 169, and in the process secured their biggest win of the three-match contest.
Rashid Khan powers Afghanistan to 3-0 series win
Batting first, Afghanistan scored 266 for nine wickets in 50 overs. Rashid top-scored with 48 off 40 deliveries while batting at No.9. Skipper Asghar Afghan made 41 and Gulbadin Naib hit 36. Seamer Craig Young took three wickets for 61 runs.
India not too important for England as they rest key players
England's 0-4 loss on their previous tour to India in 2016-17 and India's impregnability at home, however, may have prompted the visitors not to field and risk their best eleven in all four Tests. Either they think their reserve is good enough for India or that they have already given up on winning here.
