Canadian PM announces new sanctions against Russia
In a press release on the Prime Minister's website, Trudeau said on Tuesday that Canada is imposing new measures on 62 close associates of the Russian government and a defence sector entity, Xinhua news agency reported. Among the individuals sanctioned are high-ranking Russian government officials, including Russian federal governors and regional heads, their family members, and senior officials of currently sanctioned defence sector entities, according to the press release.
Two Indian-origin men shot dead in Canada, 10 days after Ripudaman's killing
Meninder Dhaliwal and Satindera Gill were killed on Sunday at the British Columbia resort village of Whistler. The two latest victims were shot in broad daylight while sitting in a car in a public place like Ripudaman Malik and as in that incident, a car was also found burning nearby, according to media reports. The two incidents, however, have not been linked by officials.
Man acquitted in 1985 Air India plane bombing shot dead in Canada
Malik was killed as he sat inside his car in the Vancouver suburb of Surrey on Thursday, the Vancouver Sun reported. Malik and a Babbar Khalsa associate, Ajaib Singh Bagri, were acquitted by a British Columbia Supreme Court judge of murder and conspiracy charges in the terrorist bomb attack that brought down Air India's Kanishka, a Boeing 747 aircraft, over the Atlantic Ocean near Ireland in 1985.
Canada hit by massive mobile, internet outage
Friday's outage also affected passport offices and Canada's ArriveCAN app which is used for border control, reports Xinhua news agency. In a statement, Rogers confirmed that the outages are currently affecting its wirelines and wireless networks but the reason behind is still unknown.

Canadian officials barred from tycoon's China trial
The Chinese-Canadian tycoon's trial was said to have started on Monday, five years after he disappeared from a luxury Hong Kong hotel, the BBC reported. His case remains shrouded in secrecy, and the authorities have not specified what charges he faces. Chinese authorities have yet to comment publicly on the trial, or said where it is taking place. On Tuesday, in a statement to reporters, Canada's Embassy in China said their consular officials had made "several requests" to attend the trial proceedings, BBC reported.
'Withdraw provocative material': Indian High Commission in Canada on 'Kaali' poster
In a statement, the High Commission said that they have received complaints from leaders of the Hindu community in Canada about "disrespectful depiction of Hindu Gods on the poster of a film showcased as part of the 'Under the Tent' project at the Aga Khan Museum, Toronto. Our Consulate General in Toronto has conveyed these concerns to the organisers of the event," read the statement.

In a statement, the Ministry said HMCS Kingston and Summerside are deployed to contribute to NATO assurance and deterrence measures in Central and Eastern Europe, adding that the Canadian Armed Forces is maintaining a presence in European waters on a persistent rotational basis since 2014, reports Xinhua news agency. According to the statement, between July and October 2022, HMCS Kingston and Summerside will join Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group One.
2 Sikhs sworn as ministers in Ontario
Parm Gill, 48, who was Minister for Citizenship and Multiculturalism in the outgoing ministry, took oath as Minister for Red Tape Reduction. Gill was re-elected from Milton on the outskirts of Toronto. His family comes from Punjab's Moga. Prabhmeet Sarkaria, 31, who became the first turban-wearing Sikh Cabinet minister in Ontario four years ago and was President of the Treasury Board in the outgoing Cabinet, again took oath for the same post.

The Organization's primary agenda is raking issues against India. WSO has four layers of office bearers, workers and activists. Elders like Gian Singh Sandhu, Prem Vinning, Chahal, Ajit Sahota, Inderjit Singh Bal, Gurpreet Singh, Balwinder Bains can be placed in the first layer.
