Reacting to the death of BJP leader Vijay Kumar Singh, Nadda said that Nitish Kumar, in a bid to save the charge-sheeted deputy Chief Minister, has forgotten morality. BJP state president Chaudhary announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the family members of the deceased.

“BJP leaders are creating confusion among the people of Bihar that cracks are appearing in the Mahagathbandhan and it will soon break down. I want to tell them that the Mahagathbandhan is strong and united. We are working under the leadership of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar and there is no rift between us and the Chief Minister,” Tejashwi Yadav said.

While Chirag Paswan marked the 77 birth anniversary of his late father Ram Vilas Paswan in his traditional constituency in Hajipur and announced that he will contest from this seat in 2024, his uncle and Union Minister Pasupati Kumar Paras said that he will also contest from there only.

A letter in this regard was issued by the office of Subodh Kumar, banning the entry of Chandrashekhar's personal secretary Krishnanand Yadav into the department offices for penning the letter to the Additional Chief Secretary.

Sources said that both the leaders met for half an hour at Bihar Chief Minister’s residence and had a closed-door meeting on Monday evening. After the formation of Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar last year, several JD-U leaders had demanded Singh’s resignation from Rajya Sabha Vice Chairmanship post, however, he did not resign.

Before the Rouse Avenue Court, the probe agency filed a charge sheet against Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi and their son and Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. CBI through its Special Public Prosecutor Advocate DP Singh apprised the court that a fresh chargesheet is filed in the case, despite a chargesheet already being filed because the alleged act is committed with a different modus operandi.

Nitish Kumar allowed TET job aspirants from other states to participate in the recruitment of teachers in Bihar. His decision became problematic after Bihar education minister Prof Chandharsheker claimed that the TET aspirants of Bihar have lesser knowledge of Math.

“Jitan Ram Manjhi has insulted the entire Musahar community by removing slippers during his meeting with Amit Shah. It is shameful and embarrassing for our community,” Sada said. He said that the person (Amit Shah) who did not allow him (Manhji) and his son to wear slippers during the meeting cannot give them respect.

A letter in this regard was issued from the general administration department of Bihar government, but the sources said that as CM Nitish Kumar's health is not good, the meeting was postponed. Due to illness, Nitish Kumar also cancelled the Chennai trip on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Nitish Kumar cancelled his Tamil Nadu trip at the last moment when Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav reached the airport and waited for Chief Minister for half an hour. At the last minute, Nitish Kumar sent his trusted leader of his kitchen cabinet Sanjay Kumar Jha along with Tejashwi Yadav to Chennai.
