IND vs SA, 1st T20I: Very close to my heart, says DDCA prez Rohan Jaitley on hosting international game at Arun Jaitley Stadium after 30 months

BCCI has allowed full capacity in stadiums for the India-South Africa T20I series which gets underway on June 9 here. The DDCA president said the upcoming first T20I is very close to his heart and asserted that adequate measures will be taken to stage the game successfully. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic had stopped all the sporting activities in March 2020 and as Delhi gears up to host the first T20I, Rohan Jaitley feels it is an interesting phase in the city's cricket.
India to tour West Indies for 3 ODIs, 5 T20Is in July-August 2022

The ODI series, which will be played first, and three T20Is will be hosted across Trinidad and Tobago and St Kitts & Nevis, with the final two T20Is scheduled for Lauderhill, Florida in the USA. The three ODIs will be played on July 22, 24 and 27 respectively at the Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago, the broadcaster of the series announced on behalf of Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) late on Wednesday.

After a few hours of leaving people guessing, Ganguly himself made it clear late on Wednesday that it is not politics, but an educational app that will be his new venture. The former India captain also made it clear that the new venture will not affect his existing innings with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The 23-year-old Arshdeep finished the IPL 2022 season with 10 wickets from 14 matches, with his best being 3/37, and an economy rate of 7.70. He was rewarded for his consistent performance in the domestic season and the IPL by being included in the squad to face the Proteas in the five-match series beginning in New Delhi on June 9.

Senior pro Cheteshwar Pujara, who was dropped for India's last Test series against SriLanka has been picked by the All-India Senior Selection Committee in 17-member Test squad for the fifth rescheduled Test against England to be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham from July 1-5.
