Mercedes-Benz strengthens AMG portfolio in India

According to the company, the Mercedes - 'AMG E 53 4MATIC+' is priced at Rs 1.02 crore, while 'AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+' is priced at Rs 1.70 crore. Luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has strengthened its performance based - AMG - portfolio in India by launching 'AMG E 53 4MATIC+' and 'AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+'.
TVS Motor launches TVS iQube Electric at Rs 1.15L in Chennai

In a statement the company said it has launched its electric scooter TVS iQube Electric, an urban scooter powered by an advanced electric drivetrain at a price of Rs 115,218. TVS iQube Electric is equipped with a 4.4 kW electric motor and has a maximum speed of 78 kmph and traverses 75 kms with a full charge.
Tesla Model 3 spotted in India ahead of launch

The blue-coloured entry-level model in Tesla's lineup is said to be caught on test in Pune. The Model 3 is designed for electric-powered performance, with dual motor AWD, quick acceleration, long-range and fast charging. According to various reports, the Tesla Model 3 would be launching in India around December 2021 and it is expected to be priced around Rs 60 lakh.
Skoda launches fourth gen Octavia

According to the company, the fourth generation Octavia features 'shift by wire' technology and electric parking brake. "A rocker switch with a minimalist design, integrated into the centre console, controls and electronically conveys the gear selection to the transmission unit," the company said in a statement.
Tata Motors to discontinue select variants of Nexon

According to the company, the defect in the ignition coil can cause misfiring, reduced vehicle performance and in rare cases, an electric short circuit. "The defect was discovered during routine internal testing and the issue has been clearly identified and isolated to specific batches of material sourced from our external supplier between December 2020 and April 2021," the company said in a statement.
Unique barbeque framing behind iconic Mahindra Thar

The Thar is manufactured at the Nashik facility. The basic assembly goes into the barbeque framing station where structure of the Thar comes together. The side panels that incorporate the structure for the wheels and rearview arch also come in. In this giant jig structure of barbeque framing, the roof is welded on to the body, a critical part of the manufacturing process which gives it strength. This is one of the key reasons why the Thar is so much easier to drive.
