The demand for a CNG vehicle has grown robustly in India. For the period of April-September 2021, data shows that 1,01,412 CNG cars were sold in the country, as opposed to 51,448 cars in the same period in 2020. Maruti Suzuki, being a leader in the petrol segment, wants to cash in on this growing demand of CNG vehicles. CNG per kilogram is also cheaper than petrol and is less susceptible to price fluctuations as well, especially in the current period where Brent crude is trading at USD130 per barrel. Thereby, Maruti has come out with Dzire S-CNG (VXI and ZXI) models. So, here are the specifications of the two S-CNG models:
