During the hearing on Friday, a bench headed by Chief Justice N.V. Raman did not agree with a counsel's contention that the report of the commission should be kept in a sealed cover. The bench said: "This relates to the encounter case. There is nothing to keep here. The Commission has found someone guilty." It added, "We want to send the matter to the high court."

Massive fire destroys British-era Secunderabad Club

One of the oldest clubs in India, Secunderabad Club has been in existence since 1878 when it was founded for the British Army officers in Secunderabad, then a British Cantonment. There was no loss of life in the mishap. According to fire services department, the fire in ground plus two storey building broke out around 3 a.m. The fire call was received 15 minutes later. Seven fire tenders rushed from various parts of twin cities battled for three hours to extinguish the fire and thus prevented it from spreading to other buildings in the premises, an official said.
India's first open rock museum comes up in Hyderabad

The museum displays around 35 different varieties of rocks from different parts of India with ages ranging from 3.3 billion years to around 55 million years. These rocks also represent the deepest part of the Earth, up to 175 km of distance from the surface of the earth. With this, the number of passengers testing positive after their arrival in Hyderabad has gone up to 13. According to the Director of Public Health, G. Srinivasa Rao, out of the 219 passengers who arrived here on Friday, nine tested positive. He, however, did not disclose the details of the countries they came from. Earlier, a 35-year-old woman, who arrived here from the UK on December 1, had tested positive. Three more had tested positive the next day.

Mumbai police have identified the accused as Ramnagesh Akubathini, a 23-year-old techie who had earlier worked with a food delivery services app. The threat messages had gone viral and caused widespread outrage after they were posted on social media. The threat message targeting star cricketer Virat Kohli had initially been presumed to have originated in Pakistan.
Andhra temple decorated with Rs 5 crore currency notes

The deity at Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari temple in Nellore district has been decked up with currency notes worth Rs 5.16 crore. Over 100 volunteers worked for several hours to decorate the temple with notes of the denominations of Rs 2,000, Rs 500, Rs 200, Rs 100, Rs 50, and Rs 10. The organisers adorned the deity with garlands and bouquets of origami flowers made from the currency notes of various denominations and colours. The currency notes of different colours have added to the beauty of the temple attracting devotees from various places.
French national murdered in Hyderabad by adopted daughter, partner

Marie Christine, who went missing two days ago, was found murdered near Himayat Sagar on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The body was recovered on Saturday morning and by the evening, the Cyberabad police announced that they have cracked the case with the arrest of three accused persons. Roma, 24, the adopted daughter of the deceased, her live-in partner Vikram Sriramula, 25, and his friend Rahul Gowtham, 24, have been arrested in connection with the case.
Sensex surges to cross 43,000 mark, banking stocks soar
