In a tweet, Shah said: “Those rejoicing over the SC decision on the ED case are delusional for various reasons. The amendments to the CVC Act, which were duly passed by the Parliament, have been upheld. Powers of the ED to strike at those who are corrupt and on the wrong side of the law remain the same.”

"Congress is a strange party where leaders are launched. I belong to a party where people launch the leaders, not the party. The Congress has been trying to launch Rahul 'Baba' (Rahul Gandhi) for the last 20 years. This time too the Congress is making unsuccessful attempt to launch Rahul 'Baba',” Shah said while addressing the Hunkar rally in Bihar’s Lakhisarai district on Thursday.

“Nitish Kumar is asking about our work and I want to tell him that the Centre has given insurance for poor people up to Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. We have constructed 75 lakh toilets in Bihar, and 37 lakh houses for poor people. Has Nitish Kumar given any house to the people of Bihar?” Amit Shah asked.

“Jitan Ram Manjhi has insulted the entire Musahar community by removing slippers during his meeting with Amit Shah. It is shameful and embarrassing for our community,” Sada said. He said that the person (Amit Shah) who did not allow him (Manhji) and his son to wear slippers during the meeting cannot give them respect.

His remark comes in the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi chairing an important meeting on Sunday night after wrapping up his US and Egypt state visits.  Taking to Twitter, Kharge said, "Reports indicate that finally the Home Minister has spoken to Prime Minister Modi on Manipur. For the last 55 days, Modi ji did not say a word on Manipur. Every Indian is waiting for him to speak.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said: "Every single minute Biren Singh continues as CM is a minute wasted towards efforts to bring peace and begin the reconciliation process in Manipur. His continuation as CM is untenable beyond doubt."  His remarks came after Biren Singh met Shah in New Delhi and said that the Home Minister has advised him to strengthen the work towards achieving everlasting peace .

Returning from New Delhi, where he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed the prevailing situation in the state, Singh said that efforts to restore peace would be further intensified involving all.  “In the peace process, civil society organisations of all communities, leaders of churches, varied communities and other concerned stakeholders would be involved.

In a tweet, he accused the Congress party of imposing the Emergency on the nation out of the fear of losing power. He stated that in reality, it was the murder of democracy committed by the Congress."On this very day in 1975, a family driven by the fear of losing power .

Addressing a large public gathering at Bhagwati Nagar here, Shah said he was again in the city of temples, so he must first of all bow his head to Mata Vaishno Devi. He said the abrogation of Article 370 that resulted in complete integration of J&K with the rest of the country, was the result of the supreme sacrifice given by Syama Prasad Mukherjee whose martyrdom anniversary is being held on this day.

Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, Union minister of state (PMO) Dr. Jitendra Singh, senior civil, police and paramilitary officers and senior leaders of the BJP received the home minister at the technical area of Jammu airport. From the airport, Shah went to the BJP headquarters in the city where he paid tribute to RSS ideologue, Syama Prasad Mukherjee on his martyrdom anniversary.
