During the initial month of the conflict, Community Notes garnered over a hundred million views, covering topics from out-of-context videos to AI-generated media and claims about specific events. X reported a 30% decrease in agreement with the substance of original posts after users read related notes.

The response time for Notes has improved, now being visible 1.5 to 3.5 hours faster than a month ago. X highlighted its growing contributor base, surpassing 200,000 individuals in 44 countries, with over 40,000 new contributors since the conflict began.

Introducing notes on new media types, the company shared that when a note is added to a photo or video, it automatically displays on other posts with matching media. Notably, notes related to the Israel-Hamas conflict have appeared on over 10,000 posts, with this number increasing as relevant images and videos are reused.

In addressing the conflict, X proactively removed over 100 publisher videos deemed unsuitable for monetization. The platform updated its keyword blocklists with more than 1,000 terms related to the conflict, preventing ad targeting and adjacency on Timeline or Search placements. Additionally, X implemented a change where Amplify Video campaigns from content partners will only run in the Home Timeline.
