Facebook working on Instagram for kids under age 13
Head of Instagram Adam Mosseri said that a version of the popular photo-sharing app is currently being explored. "Kids are increasingly asking their parents if they can join apps that help them keep up with their friends," Mosseri said in a tweet. "A version of Instagram where parents have control like we did w/ Messenger Kids, is something we're exploring. We'll share more down the road," he added.

YouTube to begin deducting taxes from creators outside US
In an email to YouTubers, the tech giant said that additional tax is going to be levied on them (outside the US) by as early as June 2021. The move will affect YouTube creators' community in India too. YouTube has asked creators to submit their tax information to AdSense to understand the correct amount of taxes to be deducted.

China 10 times ahead of US in 5G: Eric Schmidt
"I estimate that China is about 10 times ahead of us in the 5G space. This is a national emergency. The United States needs to get the necessary bandwidth and funding to the telcos to get that built out, we may have already lost that one, that's how dire the situation is," Schmidt told CNN on Sunday.
