Google to give users more controls on how apps use their data
Google will ask developers to share what type of data is collected and stored like users' precise location, contacts, personal information, photos and videos, audio files, and storage files. The company will also ask developers how the data is used, like app functionality and personalisation. Samsung to share more royalty-free techs with smaller firms
Smaller firms will be able to capitalise on Samsung's 505 cases of technologies without paying royalties, including 213 mobile and 68 semiconductor patents, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy said. "The transfer of technologies from conglomerates to small-and-medium sized companies will help overcome hardships sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic," the ministry said in a statement.

On Tuesday, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) granted approval to nearly a dozen companies to conduct a six-month trial for use and applications of 5G technology.
