Twitter working with Indian payments providers for Tip Jar

At the moment, only a small group of people including non-profits, journalists and creators around the world who use Twitter in English will be able to add Tip Jar to their profile and receive tips. The company is also working to bring Indian payment providers to Tip Jar, along with the ability to Tip in multiple languages.

Google rolls out improved Assistant features for families

Google said in a statement on Thursday that new Assistant feature will be rolled out globally on Mother's Day (May 9). The Family Broadcast feature will now send messages to Assistant on smartphones as well, which family members can reply to. The popular Family Bell reminders will now expand to eight new languages, including Hindi.

Samsung to share more royalty-free techs with smaller firms

Smaller firms will be able to capitalise on Samsung's 505 cases of technologies without paying royalties, including 213 mobile and 68 semiconductor patents, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy said. "The transfer of technologies from conglomerates to small-and-medium sized companies will help overcome hardships sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic," the ministry said in a statement.

Facebook accuses Signal of lying, says its ads on Instagram a ‘stunt'

"This is a stunt by Signal, who never even tried to actually run these ads -- and we didn't shut down their ad account for trying to do so," a company spokesperson was quoted as saying in the report on Wednesday.
