iOS 14 now installed on 85% of compatible iPhones: Apple

According to the data, collected by analysing App Store visits on June 3, only 10 per cent of users with an iPhone released in the last four years are running an older version of iOS. Among them, about 8 per cent are on iOS 13, while 2 per cent are running an earlier version, AppleInsider reported. Among all devices that Apple is tracking, 85 per cent are running iOS 14. As with iPhones released in the last four years, 8 per cent are running iOS 13.
Apple employees seek flexible approach for return to office

In an email sent to employees earlier this week, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that most workers will be asked to come in to the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the option of working remotely on Wednesdays and Fridays. WhatsApp unveils new 'Fast Playback' feature for voice message

TikTok has introduced a new privacy policy section for US users, saying it "may collect biometric identifiers and biometric information" from its users' content. "We may collect biometric identifiers and biometric information as defined under US laws, such as faceprints and voiceprints, from your User Content. Where required by law, we will seek any required permissions from you prior to any such collection," the company said.
Google to disable Advertising IDs for users who opt out of tracking

Starting in late 2021, when a user opts out of interest-based advertising or ads personalisation, the advertising identifier will not be available. "You will receive a string of zeros in place of the identifier," Google said in a latest update. Google has told Play Store developers in an email the changes will "provide users with more control over their data, and help bolster security and privacy," reports the Financial Times.
