Samsung launches upgraded modular 'The Wall' display
Samsung, the world's largest TV vendor, said the new modular display comes with enhanced micro artificial intelligence (AI) processor for better upscaling function. It also applied an emitting device 40 percent smaller than existing models to deliver better gradation and perfect black, reports Yonhap news agency. LG Electronics unveils new compact sound bar for $790
LG Eclair will be launched in North America later this month and will hit the shelves in major European and Asian countries. In South Korea, the premium sound bar comes with a price tag of 899,000 won ($790). The latest product, which was honoured at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, is about one-third the size of a regular sound bar as its width is less than 30 cm, reports Yonhap news agency
Honor 'Magic 3' series to feature Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset
Reports have claimed that the lineup includes two handsets namely, Magic 3 and Magic 3 Pro. The vanilla model would start at around CNY 4,000 while the beefier Pro variant will ask for CNY 5,000. According to GizmoChina, Honor has already announced that they will feature Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset for faster and best-in-class performance.
Apple iPhone 13 likely to feature Wi-Fi 6E
Wi-Fi 6E is an extended version of the Wi-Fi 6 framework with the additional benefit of a 6GHz band. The company upgraded from Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 6 with the iPhone 11 lineup in 2019, which offers significantly improved speeds and security, GizmoChina reported. Currently, the iPhone 12 series have a LiDAR sensor but only for the high-end Pro and Pro Max models.
Samsung's Watch4 series to offer new chipset, more storage
SamMobile reports that the chipset should offer significant performance gains over its predecessors. For reference, all Samsung Watches dating back to 2018's Galaxy Watch have utilised the 10nm Exynos 9110. The new report specifies the W920 SoC will offer "1.25x faster processing times compared to the Exynos 9110" and "8.8x smoother graphics performance".

Tesla launches full self driving subscriptions at $199 a month
Those who previously bought the Enhanced Autopilot package, the FDS feature would cost $99 a month. To date, Tesla offered the Full Self-Driving package for a one-time payment of $10,000. Tesla owners can cancel their monthly FSD subscription at any time, according to the website. According to Electrek, the EV maker aims to deliver a true level 5 full self-driving system and people buying the package are betting on Tesla achieving that goal.
Tumblr's parent company buys podcast app Pocket Casts
Automattic didn't disclose how much it will pay for Pocket Casts. The company said that Pocket Casts will be joining Automattic, making it easier for podcast fans to discover new content and customise their listening experience. "As part of Automattic, Pocket Casts will continue to provide you with the features needed to enjoy your favourite podcasts (or find something new)," a WordPress.com blog post stated.
WhatsApp testing encrypted Cloud backups on Android
"After releasing the multi-device beta programme for more beta testers, WhatsApp is finally enabling another important feature -- the possibility to encrypt your backups," Webetainfo reported. "What does it mean? Encrypting your backups protects your chat history and media from unauthorised access," it added. The report also explained how encryption works.
