5.8-inch Tesla humanoid robot coming next year, says Musk

The 5.8-inch bot would be used to handle automated machines at Tesla factories, as well as some of the hardware and software that powers the Autopilot driver assistance software, Musk announced during the ‘AI Day' event on Thursday. "Basically, if you think about what we're doing right now with cars, Tesla is arguably the world's biggest robotics company because our cars are like semi-sentient robots on wheels," Musk said.
Now share same tweet in up to 20 separate DM conversations

This functionality is part of several new features that Twitter announced to its direct messages (DMs) on Thursday. "No more (awkward) accidental group chats when you DM a Tweet to multiple people. Now you can share the same Tweet in up to 20 different DM convos, separately," the company said in a tweet. The feature is coming to the iOS and web versions of Twitter first and soon to Android over the coming weeks.
FB launches Horizon Workrooms for remote co-working in VR

FB purges over 20 mn pieces of content for violating Covid norms

Since the start of the pandemic last year till June this year, Facebook removed over 3,000 accounts, pages, and groups for repeatedly violating the rules against spreading Covid-19 and vaccine misinformation, the company said in a statement on Wednesday. The social networking platform has also displayed warnings on more than 190 million pieces of Covid-related content on Facebook.
Netflix rolls out Spatial Audio support on iPhone, iPad

Windows 11 makes it tough to switch default browsers, rivals fume

According to a report in The Verge, if you forget to set your default browser at first launch of Windows 11, the experience for switching defaults is now very confusing compared to Windows 10. "The default app prompt in Windows 11 that you'll only see once," the report said on Wednesday. In Windows 11, there's a prompt that appears when you install a new browser and open a web link for the first time.
Facebook now reveals most-viewed content in News Feed

The majority (57 per cent) of posts that people see is from their family and friends, in line with changes "we made in the past so that content from friends and family makes up a larger portion of News Feed", Facebook said in a statement late on Wednesday. "It's important to note that there is so much content on Facebook that even the most-viewed content is still a small portion of what people see," the company added.
