Twitter back after facing hour-long outage
According to internet outage reporting platform Downdetector, the outage lasted for about an hour late in Friday evening and some users had more trouble than others, and more users reported web issues. According to the heat map, Twitter outage was reported from England, Canada, France, Mexico, the US and India (Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai).
Apple's new update to fix MacBooks' battery drain issue
The release notes for the new version, 12.2.1, say it contains fixes for "an issue for Intel-based Mac computers that may cause the battery to drain during sleep when connected to Bluetooth peripherals", reports The Verge.Before Thursday's updates, some users reported their MacBooks' batteries would drain while the computer was asleep, sometimes even reaching 0 per cent charge overnight.

According to Patently Apple, a new patent granted the Cupertino-based company shows a hinged keyboard mechanism that could provide the keyboard environment and support that will effectively allow an iPad to function as a MacBook Pro. The keyboard looks like an accessory with a base and a coupling mechanism. The base has a keyboard, including a set of electromechanical keys.
Apple makes AirTag more safer to curb unwanted tracking
The company said it will soon implement a series of updates to both AirTags and the Find My network, initially beginning with new privacy warnings, alerts and documentation.
"In an upcoming software update, every user setting up their AirTag for the first time will see a message that clearly states that AirTag is meant to track their own belongings," said Apple.

ShareChat to acquire short video platform MX TakaTak for Rs 4,500 cr
In 2021, Mohalla Tech cumulatively raised $913 million, at a valuation of $3.7 billion. The acquisition, sources close to the development told IANS, will further bolster ShareChat's short-video market share through the platform Moj. When contacted, the companies declined to immediately comment on the development.
