Lava Blaze Dragon 5G Debuts in India with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Chip & 50 MP Rear Camera

It comes with a rear-mounted 50MP AI-powered primary camera and an 8MP selfie and video call front camera.

Lava officially launched its new 5G smartphone, the Blaze Dragon 5G, in India. Released last Friday, the phone comes with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor and has a 5,000mAh battery.

The Lava Blaze Dragon 5G will go on sale at the beginning of August. 

The Lava Blaze Dragon 5G has a single model of 4GB RAM and 128GB storage at ₹9,999. It will be available in two colors—Golden Mist and Midnight Mist—and will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India from midnight on August 1.

As a part of Amazon Great Freedom Festival sale, consumers are entitled to a ₹1,000 discount through special offers from participating banks. Further, an additional ₹1,000 exchange benefit is offered on trading in suitable devices. Consumers can also avail the Lava Free Service at Home scheme.

The phone comes with a 6.74-inch HD+ screen (720×1,612 pixels) with 2.5D glass, silky 120Hz display rate, more than 450 nits of maximum brightness, and a cinematic 20:9 screen ratio.

At its core, the Blaze Dragon 5G runs on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, along with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 fast internal storage. Users can also augment memory using support for virtual RAM, with the potential to add a total of 4GB of additional RAM. The phone comes with a fresh, bloat-free stock Android 15 install, and Lava has assured that it will have one major Android OS update and regular security patches for two years.

On the camera side, the Blaze Dragon 5G features a 50-megapixel sensor upgraded with AI support, and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.

Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery, which comes with 18W wired fast charging, providing prolonged use with hassle-free top-ups.

For biometric authentication, the phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor alongside face unlock. These provide both fast and secure entry to the device.
