In his blog, Scindia highlighted Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited's (BSNL) collaborations with four major global technology companies—Ericsson, Qualcomm, Cisco, and Nokia—as one major initiative to empower India's youth with the capabilities to support digital innovation.

These initiatives, in Scindia's view, fall in line with flagships like Digital India, Skill India, Make in India, and Startup India in a bid to make India a world centre for telecom know-how and technology.

At the heart of this endeavour is BSNL's top training school, the Bharat Ratna Bhim Rao Ambedkar Institute of Telecom Training (BRBRAITT) in Jabalpur, which will be the main hub for high-end training and research programs.

Through this partnership, Ericsson will set up a 5G Centre of Excellence at BRBRAITT with hands-on training based on global best practices.

Qualcomm will train students in special 5G and AI courses, sponsoring the first 100 students' training and establishing new career paths.

Cisco will increase its Networking Academy to offer end-to-end training in networking and cybersecurity, and Nokia will create a 5G and AI-ML Lab with joint certifications to better prepare graduates for the industry.
