Gaming Innovation Unveiled: Intel Introduces Latest 14th Gen Chips for Laptops

Intel has officially unveiled its full lineup of 14th Gen mobile and desktop processors, set to power upcoming gaming laptops. The announcement was made at the prestigious CES 2024 event, showcasing a range of processors catering to diverse computing needs.

The new lineup includes the powerful HX-series mobile processors designed for gamers, creators, and professionals seeking high levels of performance combined with the mobility of a laptop. The flagship Intel Core i9-14900HX leads the HX-series, featuring eight Performance-cores (P-cores) and 16 Efficient-cores (E-cores). This series promises best-in-class connectivity and notable single- and multi-thread performance.

The Intel Core 14th Gen HX-series boasts significant improvements in creator performance, especially in the Intel Core i7-14700HX processors, which incorporate 50% more E-cores. The processor family achieves turbo frequencies of up to 5.8 GHz, resulting in up to 17% better gaming performance and up to 51% faster multitasking performance compared to the competition.

Roger Chandler, Intel's Vice President and General Manager for Enthusiast PC and Workstations, emphasized the commitment to delivering top-notch performance and platform features for both enthusiast and mainstream PC users with the Intel Core 14th Gen processor family.

Moreover, Intel introduced the Intel Core mobile processor Series 1 family, led by the Intel Core i7 processor 150U. This series is designed for mainstream thin-and-light mobile systems, providing efficient performance for on-the-go computing needs.

Intel announced that more than 60 partner systems powered by Intel Core 14th Gen HX processors are expected to hit the market in 2024, offering enhanced gaming, creative, and work capabilities for mobile enthusiasts. Additionally, mobile systems featuring the Intel Core U Processor Series 1 are slated for release in the first quarter of 2024.
