Elon Musk made a public call on Saturday, reaching out to talented individuals to join his latest venture in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), known as xAI. The company, actively recruiting across various sectors, seeks engineers, designers, as well as professionals specializing in product development, data analysis, and infrastructure.
"Join xAI," the tech mogul announced on his social media channels, extending an invitation to those interested in being part of this innovative initiative.
xAI, which recently introduced an AI chatbot named 'Grok', is also in the process of hiring AI tutors to expand its team. Describing themselves as a collective of AI researchers and engineers, xAI aims to develop AI systems that enhance humanity's understanding of the world.
Musk's AI endeavor is actively seeking talent in the San Francisco Bay Area, Palo Alto, and London. While the preference is for on-site work, xAI acknowledges the value of exceptional remote candidates and offers remote work opportunities.
In addition to providing competitive salaries and equity-based compensation, xAI extends benefits such as comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited paid time off (subject to prior approval), and visa sponsorship for prospective employees.
Reports indicate that Musk, also known for his leadership roles at Tesla and SpaceX, is targeting a fundraising goal of $3-$4 billion for xAI within the next 2-3 weeks.
Established in 2023, xAI debuted its inaugural AI product in November of the previous year. Meanwhile, the development of the AI chatbot 'Grok 2' is underway, with Musk expressing confidence that it will surpass all expectations upon its release.
