Apple Vision Pro Set to Debut with Exclusive 3D Movies from Disney Plus and More

Apple has unveiled a groundbreaking entertainment experience for its mixed reality (MR) headset, the Vision Pro, set to launch on February 2. Priced at $3,499, the device promises to transform any space into a personal theater, offering over 150 3D movies from Disney Plus and other streaming platforms.

Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing that Apple Vision Pro would bring fans closer to beloved characters and stories, immersing them deeply in Disney's offerings.

At launch, users will have access to more than 150 3D movies, including popular titles like "Avatar: The Way of Water," "Dune," "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," "The Super Mario Bros," and classics such as "Avengers: Endgame" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." These movies will be available for rent through the Apple TV app, and those who have already purchased them will receive 3D versions without additional charges.

The Apple Immersive Video feature offers 180-degree 3D 8K recordings with Spatial Audio, providing an immersive experience. Users can enjoy a curated selection of immersive films and series on the Apple TV app at no extra cost.

The Vision Pro supports top streaming services, including Disney+, ESPN, MLB, PGA Tour, Max, Discovery+, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+, Peacock, Pluto TV, Tubi, Fubo, Crunchyroll, Red Bull TV, IMAX, TikTok, and MUBI.

Equipped with ultra-high-resolution micro-OLED displays with 23 million combined pixels, wide color, high dynamic range, and Dolby Vision, the Vision Pro features the R1 chip for speedy image streaming and the M2 chip for power-efficient performance. The device supports two hours of general use, 2.5 hours of video playback, and all-day use with an external battery connected through a USB-C charging cable.
