Apple's Vision Pro Mixed Reality Headset Set to Launch on Feb 2 at $3,499

Apple has officially announced the upcoming launch of its highly-anticipated mixed reality (MR) headset named Vision Pro, set to debut in the US on February 2. Priced at $3,499 for the 256GB storage variant, pre-orders for the Apple Vision Pro will kick off on January 19.

The headset will be available both in-store at all US Apple Store locations and online through the U.S. Apple Store website. The Apple Vision Pro package includes features such as a Solo Knit Band, Dual Loop Band, Light Seal, Light Seal Cushions, Apple Vision Pro Cover for the device's front, Polishing Cloth, Battery, USB-C Charge Cable, and USB-C Power Adapter.

Apple's Vision Pro is designed to seamlessly merge digital content with the physical world, providing users with powerful spatial experiences through visionOS. This operating system is based on decades of engineering innovation found in macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, promising a groundbreaking user interface controlled by natural and intuitive inputs – a user's eyes, hands, and voice.

Siri integration further allows quick app operations, media playback, and more.

For productivity, Apple Vision Pro supports key apps such as Fantastical, Freeform, JigSpace, Microsoft 365 apps, and Slack. The Mac Virtual Display feature enables users to leverage the capabilities of their Mac, creating a large, private, and portable 4K display for professional workflows.

Gaming enthusiasts can access over 250 titles on Apple Arcade, and for users with vision correction needs, ZEISS Optical Inserts are available, either with a prescription or as readers that magnetically attach to Vision Pro, ensuring optimal display clarity.
