Apple on Tuesday revealed the opening of its fourth store in India, with Apple Koregaon Park in the city of Pune opening its doors on September 4. This announcement comes right on the heels of the third-store announcement by the company in Bengaluru and underlines Apple's aggressive retail growth in the nation.
The latest reveal is happening just before Apple's highly anticipated iPhone launch event, scheduled for the first half of September.
On Tuesday morning, the company unveiled the barricade design for Apple Koregaon Park, which has the same peacock-them-inspired look as the Bengaluru Hebbal store. Both stores pay tribute to India's national bird, representing pride and beauty.
While Apple has not yet announced the details of the Pune store, it is said to span approximately 10,000 square feet. The expansion comes in anticipation of the release of the iPhone 17 series, which highlights Apple's increasing interest in India as a significant marketplace. Since April 2023, the organization has continued to expand, initially with Apple BKC in Mumbai and now Apple Saket in New Delhi.
Similar to Apple BKC, Saket, and the new Hebbal one, the retail outlet in Pune will carry the entire range of Apple devices, including iPhones and iPads, Macs, Apple Watch, and others. The store will have Specialists, Creatives, Geniuses, and Business teams dedicated to helping customers with buying, problem-solving, and creative learning.
Moreover, the Koregaon Park store will be conducting Today at Apple sessions—workshop-like events on photography, music, coding, and art, conducted by Apple Creatives. The sessions are free of cost and are aimed at allowing customers to experience new things and maximize their devices.
Building on the introduction of new retail services such as Shop with a Specialist over Video and the Apple Store app introduced earlier this year, Apple is furthering its focus on Indian customers, giving customers more personalized and secure ways to engage with Apple than ever before," the company said in its official statement.
The simultaneous launch of Apple's third and fourth stores in India has been planned in conjunction with the release of the iPhone 17, which is slated to hit the market in early September with sales probably commencing prior to the third week of the month.
