Apple on Wednesday gave a first glimpse of its Koregaon Park retail store in Pune, its fourth in India, as the tech major strengthens its focus on the country, achieving new benchmarks in local manufacturing and exports.
Located in a lively cultural and educational center, the Pune store is now open to the public on Thursday, giving visitors an opportunity to browse Apple's full lineup of products, get personalized guidance and expert advice, and take part in Today at Apple sessions to maximize their devices.
“There’s nothing we love more in Apple Retail than connecting with customers, and just days after opening a new store in Bengaluru, we couldn’t be more excited to unveil Apple Koregaon Park in Pune,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail.
“In a city celebrated for its history and creativity, Apple Koregaon Park introduces an incredible new destination for customers to connect with all things Apple — whether they’re shopping for a new product, looking for support for one they already own and love, or seeking inspiration to bring their next big idea to life,” Deirdre noted.
Apple Koregaon Park has 68 employees from 11 states of India who are all prepared to help customers make their purchase, be it the iPhone 16 series, iPad Air with Apple Pencil Pro, the M4-powered MacBook Air, and so on.
The store crew also offers customized setup and support, iOS switch instructions step by step, and retail options like Apple Trade In and financing options.
“Apple is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the lives of students as they pursue their education. At Apple Koregaon Park, this commitment extends to the entire community through Today at Apple, which offers free, daily in-store sessions designed to inspire learning and creativity for all Apple users,” said the company.
Apple Koregaon Park is adding its other Indian stores in Mumbai, Delhi, and newly opened Apple Hebbal in Bengaluru, which opened to customers last week.
The firm is also expanding its India production, with all versions of the iPhone 17, including the Pro flagship models, produced locally from scratch. Apple will for the first time make every new iPhone model available in India as part of a larger plan to decrease China reliance and hedge against possible US tariff effects.
Apple's drive towards India is already beginning to bear fruit. Between April and July this year, $7.5 billion worth of iPhones were shipped out of the country, against $17 billion for the whole of the last financial year. Apple manufactured iPhones worth approximately $22 billion in India during the financial year ended March, up 60 percent from the previous year.
The firm is projected to raise production to 60 million iPhones this year, from some 35–40 million in 2024–25.
