In a fantastic thriller , the Gujarat Titans (GT) on Monday trounced the Lucknow Super Gaints (LSG) by 5 wickets. It was the fourth match of this season and first match for GT and LSG in the IPL history. Here are key highlights of the game:
1. GT won the toss and elected to bowl first against LSG.
2. What a start it was for the GT and Mohammed Shami who took wicket of KL Rahul on the first ball of the match and then in his second over he bolwed Quinton De Kock on a gorgeous delivery.
3. LSG lost 4 wickets in the batting powerplay putting lots of pressure on the middle and lower middle order.
4. But Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni played fabulous knocks under presure. Deepak Hooda made 55 runs off 41 deliveries, 22 years old Ayush Badoni made 54 runs off 41 deliveries and Krunal Pandya made 21 runs off 13 deliveries, taking LSG to the fighting totals.
5. For GT, Mohammed Shami took 3/25, Varun Aaron took 2/45 and Rashid Khan took 1/27.
6. In second Innings, GT lost 2 wickets in the power play and then great 50+ partnership took place between Matthew Wade and skipper Hardik Pandya. Then both lost their wickets in quick succession.
7. We also saw the battle of brothers, Hardik Pandya vs Krunal Pandya. Krunal won it by taking the wicket of Hardik in his 3rd over.

8. For GT, Rahul Tewatia made match winning 40 runs off just 24 deliveries, Hardik Pandya made 33 runs off 28 deliveries, David Miller made 30 runs off 21 deliveries and Abhinav Manohar made quick 15 runs off 7 deliveries.
9. For LSG, Dushmantha Chameera took 2/22 in his 3 over and Krunal Pandya took 1/17 in his 4 overs.
10. LSG made 158/6 in 20 over. In reply, GT made 161/5 in 19.4 overs and won the match by 5 wickets.
