Rohit Sharma Rents Out Mumbai Apartment for ₹2.6 Lakh/Month: Square Yards

In a statement issued on Thursday, Square Yards confirmed that it had seen property registration documents pertaining to Sharma, captain of India's Test and One-Day International (ODI) cricket teams.

Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has rented out his Mumbai Lower Parel property for ₹2.60 lakh per month, according to real estate portal Square Yards.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Square Yards confirmed that it had seen property registration documents pertaining to Sharma, captain of India's Test and One-Day International (ODI) cricket teams.

The apartment leased by Sharma is located in Lodha Marquise – The Park, a luxury residential project by Macrotech Developers Ltd (Lodha Group). The complex covers 7 acres and is ready for possession," the release said.

The home has a carpet area of 1,298 sq ft (129.8 square meters) and includes two car parks allotted exclusively to it.

Sharma and his father, Gurunath Sharma, had initially bought the apartment in March 2013 for ₹5.46 crore. With the rental deal earning ₹2.6 lakh a month, the property commands a rental yield of around 6%, Square Yards pointed out.

Interestingly, this is not the first apartment of Sharma and his father in the same project. Another unit they own was rented out in October 2024 for ₹2.65 lakh a month.
