Doha to host 2030 Asian Games, Riyadh awarded 2034 edition
Qatar's capital Doha was announced as the winner after a vote by 45 OCA member committees at the 39th OCA General Assembly held in Muscat, Oman and online. The process was hampered by repeated delays caused by problems with the online voting system.

ICC reschedules 2023 World Cup qualifying matches
The World Cup League 2 ODIs will return on March 19, 2021 when Oman host US and Nepal in the sixth series of League 2. Six ODIs will be played in the series with Oman currently sitting top of the table on 16 points with the US four points behind in the standings. There will be 96 ODIs played across the 14 series that are scheduled to be played in 2021 and 2022 respectively and the remaining two in early 2023.
