2nd ODI: Bairstow, Stokes pound India for big England win

With this win, England levelled the three-match series 1-1 after India had won the first ODI by 66 runs. Sunday's final game will be the series decider at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. Stokes's innings was also the quickest 99 in ODI cricket. The quickest before him was made by Dean Jones, who took 77 balls to make his 99 not out against Sri Lanka 35 years ago.

Morgan, who split his webbing during the first ODI, has been ruled out of the second and third matches and in his place Joss Buttler will lead the England team. CSK to shift IPL preparatory camp to Mumbai from Chennai

The three-time champions face the Delhi Capitals on April 10, Punjab Kings on April 16, Rajasthan Royals on April 19, Kolkata Knight Riders on April 21 and Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 25 before moving to Delhi. If this series takes place, it would be the first bilateral exchange between the two countries in over eight years. The last bilateral series was played in 2012-13, when the Pakistani team visited India for a short ODI and T20 series. However, the Indian and Pakistani boards have said they have no knowledge of any development on the resumption of the bilateral cricket.

India made 317/5 in their allotted 50 overs while England were bowled out for 251 in 42.1 overs at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium. Shikhar Dhawan made 98 at the top of the order to lay the platform for India while KL Rahul added unbeaten 112 for the sixth wicket with Krunal to get India past 300.

This will be the first time that Krishna will be playing for India in any format while Krunal has played 18 T20Is. It is a comeback to international cricket for Krunal since November 2019. Archer and Root have not been included in the England squad for the three-match series that starts on Tuesday.
