3rd ODI: India beat England by 7 runs to win series

Sam Curran (95 not out off 83 deliveries) threatened to take the game away from India after the home side had reduced the Englishmen to 200 for seven at one stage in chase of 329. However, the total proved too much in the end. Shardul Thakur took four wickets for 67 while Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets for 42 runs.

On March 27, back in 1994, opener Navjot Singh Sidhu suffered a stiff neck and wasn't available to open in the second ODI against New Zealand in Auckland. Sachin opened in his place and made a 49-ball 82 to help India chase down a 143-run target in 23.2 overs and win the match by seven wickets. That knock cemented his place at the top of the order. He made 45 of his 49 centuries batting as an opener.
Orleans Masters badminton: Saina, Ashwini-Sikki in semis

In a quarter-final match, Saina defeated Iris Wang of the USA 21-19, 17-21, 21-19 in 60 minutes. She will now play unseeded Line Christophersen of Denmark in the semi-finals. Ashwini and Sikki beat England's third seeds Chloe Birch and Lauren Smith 21-14, 21-18 42 minutes in the quarter-finals.
Para javelin thrower Antil breaks own world record

On Friday, in his sixth and last attempt he hurled the javelin to a distance of 66.90 metres at the 19th Para-Athletics Championships at Bengaluru's Vidyanagar Stadium. The effort bettered his own world record of 66.43 metres, set during the third leg of the Indian Grand Prix on March 5 in Patiala.
