Malik is the fourth Indian freestyle wrestler to have won the Olympic quota place in the men's category.

Hussey, Balaji air-lifted to Chennai, put in isolation
An official on Thursday told IANS, "They have been flown to Chennai in an air ambulance and have been kept at the Taj Club House in isolation." Both Hussey and Balaji had tested positive and were left behind as the rest of the team members, who reported negative tests, flew to Chennai soon after the Indian Premier League (IPL) was suspended on Tuesday.
Malik enters semis of World Olympic qualifiers
India's Sumit Malik entered the semi-finals of the mens 125kg freestyle event at the World Olympic qualifiers on Thursday, and maintained hope to earn an Olympic quota place. If Malik wins his semi-final match, he would be in line for the quota. The top two wrestlers in each of the weight categories will be eligible to get berths for Tokyo, where the Olympics are scheduled to begin on July 23.
Bayern's Alaba wants to leave comfort zone

Rafael Nadal continued his quest for a sixth Madrid Open title, beating Australian Alexei Popyrin 6-3, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals on Thursday. However, world No. 3 Danii Medvedev crashed out, losing to Cristian Garin 6-4, 6-7(2), 6-1. In another game, Garin held on to beat Medvedev after a tough grind. The Chilean Garin broke the Russian twice in the third set to reach the quarter-finals after 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Have ensured all players, staff reach home safely: RCB
RCB said that all domestic players, staff and management have been transported to "specific pre-identified hubs and then connected to their respective cities" from Ahmedabad, where the team was stationed when the tournament was indefinitely postponed this week.
