Hockey Olympian Ravinder Pal Singh no more

Hockey Olympian and a member of Indian team that won gold medal at the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games, Ravinder Pal Singh passed away in a Lucknow hospital on Saturday morning due to Covid-related complications. He was 65. Singh, who played as centre-half and also represented the country at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, had been in hospital since April 24.
KKR batsman Tim Seifert tests positive for Covid, stranded in India

"Tim Seifert has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not be travelling back to New Zealand on the charter flight with New Zealand's other Indian Premier League players, support staff and commentators," said a statement from New Zealand Cricket on Saturday. The opening batsman, currently in Ahmedabad, will be flown to Chennai where he will undergo treatment in the same hospital where Australian Michael Hussey is being treated.
Wrestler Seema Bisla enters final, wins Olympic quota place

Williamson & Co move to Maldives after entry in England delayed

New Zealand Test players Kane Williamson, Mitchell Santner and Kyle Jamieson have flown to Maldives from where they will travel to England after about 10 days. They were supposed to fly to England from New Delhi on May 11 according to initial plans after the postponement of IPL. "The decision for this group to transfer to the Maldives was taken after advice that their entry into the UK, initially thought to be about May 11," said New Zealand Cricket.
