Football world rankings: India men's team retains 105th position

In the women's category, the Indian team slipped four spots to be 57th in the rankings released last month. It has been a quiet period for international football, and this is mirrored in the latest FIFA world men's rankings. France is placed second, followed by Brazil, England, and Portugal in the men's category.

Panghal, the World silver medallist and defending champion, defeated Kharkhuu Enkhmandakh of Mongolia 3-2 in a quarter-final bout. The Indian made a cautious start, but shifted gears as the match progressed. On the other hand, the Mongolian boxer was aggressive from the word go and kept pace with Panghal throughout the nail-biting contest. IPL getting postponed was heartbreaking: Cummins
