Olympics: Weightlifter Mirabai starts practice, shooters, rowers land in Tokyo

On Saturday, Mirabai was seen in a high intensity training session, lifting weights with a mask on her face and trying to work on her snatch lift. In a short video provided by the Sports Authority of India, her coach Sharma is praising and encouraging her to do the lifts well. First batch of athletes from India set to leave for Olympics

While several Indian contingents training abroad, including shooters, sailors and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu, among others, have already reached the Games Village in Tokyo, an 88-member contingent -- which comprises the first batch -- will leave India on Saturday night to join their compatriots in Tokyo. The contingent includes 54 athletes, support staff and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) representatives.
Aaron Finch injury scare keeps Australia guessing

Finch had been managing an issue with his right knee till he twisted it while fielding in the final T20I on Saturday (IST). The 34-year-old had to briefly leave the ground. Finch appeared in discomfort in a chase of 200, especially when running between the wickets for a second a run on an overthrow. Australia lost the final T20I by 16 runs and lost the series 1-4.
