Wimbledon 2022: Sania Mirza-Mate Pavic advance to mixed doubles quarters
Sania and Pavic, one-half of the Tokyo 2020 men's doubles champions, were set to face Ivan Dodig and Latisha Chan in the pre-quarters. They will now take on either the Australian-Canadian pair of John Peers and Gabriela Dabrowski or Brazil's Bruno Soares and Beatriz Haddad Maia in the quarterfinals. The Indian and her Croatian partner had beaten Spain's David Vega Hernandez and Natela Dzalamidze of Georgia 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(3) in the first round.

After Mohammed Siraj picked four wickets while Jasprit Bumrah scalped three wickets to bowl out England for 284 in 61.3 overs, with Jonny Bairstow making a belligerent 106, India lost Shubman Gill cheaply. But Cheteshwar Pujara (17 not out) and Hanuma Vihari (10 not out) stitched a stand of 33 runs to take India to 37/1 in 13 overs.
Wimbledon 2022: Bouzkova reaches quarterfinals with win over Garcia
This is Bouzkova's first ever Grand Slam quarterfinal in her career. The 2014 US Open junior champion hadn't been past the second round of a Grand Slam in 13 prior tries entering Wimbledon, but she's now won eight straight sets since losing the opener to No 7 seed Danielle Collins in Round 1. Sunday's win also earned Bouzkova another milestone at the All England Club, her first-ever Grand Slam main draw win came at Wimbledon three years ago.

The Swiss legend was spotted walking around the grounds in a suit ahead of the ceremony. For England, Jonny Bairstow made a belligerent 106, sharing stands of 66 with Ben Stokes (25) and 92 with Sam Billings (36) but it wasn't enough to avoid conceding a handy lead to India. Bairstow continued from where he left off in lunch, clipping Thakur in the gap between deep mid-wicket and deep mid-on for a boundary.

He also shared that he was feeling very good. "As a player a 100 in England is very good. I was always thinking of leaving balls outside the off-stump, because discipline is important (in English conditions), otherwise you can get caught in the slips."
