Barcelona sign Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie on free transfer
Christensen, 26, has agreed on a contract at Camp Nou until 2026 after his Chelsea deal expired last week. Christensen became Barcelona's second signing of the day, following the arrival of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie. Kessie joined Barca having helped AC Milan win their first Serie A title in 11 years last season. Barcelona, however, wrapped up a deal for Kessie weeks ago but needed to balance their Financial Fair Play ratio before they were able to register new players in their squad.
Wimbledon 2022: Halep shocks Badosa, to meet Anisimova in quarters
Halep rolled past Badosa in a fourth-round match, losing only three games in the process and dominating her Spanish opponent from start to finish in a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at the Centre Court. Halep will face No.20 seed, Amanda Anisimova, in the quarterfinals. It was Halep's second emphatic result against Badosa this year; at the Mutua Madrid Open in May, Halep lost just four games against the then-No.2 seed on her home turf.
ENG v IND, 5th Test: Root, Bairstow slam unbeaten fifties to lead England's mammoth chase
On a day on which rain chose not to interrupt play, England made merry as Root and Bairstow went back to the dressing room after making 76 off 110 balls and 73 off 89 deliveries respectively. Before this, on a pitch that had variable bounce and some turn for spinners, England took out the last seven Indian wickets for 120 runs.

For two sets and almost two hours, the match was there for De Minaur to take. He was in charge; Garin looked miserable.
Wimbledon 2022: Rybakina powers past Martic, books maiden quarterfinal spot
It took Rybakina, the No. 17 seed, one hour and 20 minutes to overcome the world No. 80 Croatian in a match that was tighter than the 7-5, 6-3 scoreline suggested. The 31-year-old Martic recovered from a 0-3 deficit in the first set, claiming four games straight to take a 4-3 lead. But helped by her power hitting, the Kazakhstani recovered to level in the eighth game and secured the 46-minute opener in the 10th game.
ENG v IND, 5th Test: England on track in chase of 378 despite Bumrah taking out Crawley
After Ben Stokes took the remaining three wickets to end India's second innings at 345 in 81.5 overs, the effect of the heavy roller on the pitch was apparent by the terrific opening stand of 107 between Lees and Crawley, before a ball change and Bumrah brought India back to life an over before tea. Lees began by successfully taking boundaries off Shami and Bumrah in the first three overs.
2nd ODI: Renuka's 4-28, Smriti-Shafali's record stand help India beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets
India won the toss and elected to bowl first and soon got success with Renuka Singh Thakur and other bowlers making early inroads. In only her fourth ODI, Renuka put up a stunning performance, ably assisted by Meghana Singh, to bowl out Sri Lanka for a sub-par total. Renuka had picked up three wickets in the first match with the hosts folding for a similar total of 171.

Ravindra Jadeja never got going and Stokes ended his stay by getting one to jag in sharply and force the left-hander to chop on his stumps. India skipper Jasprit Bumrah pulled him for a huge six-over fine leg. But Stokes had the last laugh on the very next ball as Bumrah went for the same shot, only to hole out to fine leg, with Stokes ending with 4-33 in 11.5 overs.

Goals were scored by Isabelle Petter (9th min) and Vandana Katariya (28th min) as they helped their respective teams add a crucial point on the points table. Reflecting on the performance, India head coach Schopman said, "I think we started the game really well, creating a penalty corner in the opening minute. England were dangerous at times but we managed to play well on the ball and defended calmly most of the time. We were unlucky in our penalty corner execution and in the end the two green cards disturbed our rhythm a little. "Overall, I'm quite happy with our performance but also know we can be better in certain areas," she added.
ENG v IND, 5th Test: India extend lead to 361 against England despite losing four wickets
For England, they are now staring at their highest chase of this year in Test cricket, with the pitch starting to show signs of variable bounce. England began the day with James Anderson and Joe Root from both ends. Anderson wasn't able to trouble much as Pujara hit him for successive boundaries -- a crunchy punch through cover was followed by a slick whip through mid-wicket.
