In his initial cricket-related remarks since becoming unavailable for the Test series due to the birth of his baby boy with actor wife Anushka Sharma on February 15, Kohli took to Twitter to express his jubilation, stating, "YES!!! Phenomenal series win by our young team. Showed grit, determination, and resilience."

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar attributed the victory to the players' character and mental fortitude, emphasizing their ability to thrive under pressure. He shared his sentiments on 'X', highlighting the team's commendable comeback from challenging situations.

Tendulkar singled out certain players for their exceptional contributions, praising Akashdeep for his impressive Test debut spell, Dhruv Jurel for his astute reading of length and precise footwork, and Kuldeep Yadav for his pivotal performance in the second innings.

He also acknowledged the contributions of seasoned players such as Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Rohit Sharma, as well as Shubman Gill's composed half-century during the chase.
