IPL 2022, Day 9 Highlights: Punjab Kings (PBKS) beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 54 runs

In a shattering thriller, Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Sunday defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 54 runs. It was MS Dhoni's 350th T-20 match. He tried his best in fielding and batting but the result did not go in his favour. CSK's new skipper Ravindra Jadeja is still searching for his first victory as captain. 1. CSK won the toss and elected to bowl first against PBKS.

2. PBKS lost 2 early wickets, then Liam Livingstone went for the counter-attack hit the longest six of the season that covered 108 m. Also, he made his first half-century in the IPL.

4. Then IPL's highest wicket-taker Dwayne Bravo broke the 95 runs partnership between Shikhar Dhawan and Liam Livingstone. He took Shikhar Dhawan’s wicket and increased pressure on Liam Livingstone and in the very next over Livingstone lost his wicket too.

5. PBKS innings faltered but ended up on a fighting total of 180/8.

6. Replying to PBKS total, CSK lost 5 wickets in quick succession.
 

7. Then, Shivam Dube's half-century kept the match still alive for CSK. But after losing his wicket all pressure came on Dhoni. Bravo also lost his wicket by an incredible catch taken by Liam Livingstone in his own over.
 

8. CSK was all out for 126 in 18 overs. Defending champion, CSK is still searching for their first victory. They have lost all 3 matches so far.

9. Liam Livingstone was declared the player of the match.
