In an excellent thriller, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Friday trounced Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 wickets. KKR dominated the whole game. We have witnessed the power of “Russell the muscle”. Here are key highlights of the game:
1. KKR won the toss and elected to bowl first against PBKS.
2. PBKS batters tried to attack but they could not succeed. No one could settle down against the swing and speed of Umesh Yadav and Tim Southee.
3. All bowlers of KKR did the job very well. However, young Shivam Mavi proved quite expensive.
4. Umesh Yadav was the star bowler of the match. He took 4/23 in his four overs.
5. PBKS got out for 137 in 18.2 overs.
6. Replying to PBKS total, KKR lost some early wickets. KKR were in trouble at 4-51 at one stage and gave some hope of victory to PBKS. But Andre Russell showed his muscle power and made 70 runs off just 31 deliveries. It seems the terror of Andre Russell is back in IPL.

7. KKR reached the target in just 14.3 overs and won their second match in the IPL 2022 season.
