IPL 2022, Day 26 Highlights: Delhi Capitals beat Punjab Kings by 9 wickets

In a one-sided thriller, Delhi Capitals (DC) on Wednesday crushed Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 9 wickets. DC showed an impressive performance with both bat and the bowl. DC's net run rate also improved after this match. Here are the key highlights of the game:

1. DC won the toss and elected to bowl first against PBKS

2. PBKS skipper Mayank Agarwal gave a good start but lost his wicket early. He made 24 runs off 15.
 

3. After the fall of his wicket, PBKS lost wickets at the regular interval. Only Jitesh Sharma stayed on the crease and made 32 runs off 23 balls. 

4. PBKS managed to score 115/10 in their 20 overs.

5. For DC, Khaleel Ahmed (2/21), Mustafizur Rahman (1/28), Axar Patel (2/10), Kuldeep Yadav (2/24), and Lalit Yadav (2/11) were sensational with the bowl.
 

6. Replying to PBKS total,  DC openers David Warner and Prithvi Shaw started dominating. They made 81 runs in the powerplay which was the highest powerplay score in this season so far.

 

7. Prithvi Shaw lost his wicket in the very next over after the powerplay. He made 41 runs off 20. However, David Warner stayed and made his third back-to-back half-century. Warner made unbeaten 60 runs off 30.
 

8. DC made 119/1 (10.1) and won by 9 wickets. 

9. Kuldeep Yadav was declared player of the match.
