The match commenced with India earning an early penalty corner, and Captain Harmanpreet Singh capitalized on the opportunity with a powerful drag flick, finding the back of the net in the second minute to give India an early lead.
In the waning moments of the first quarter, Abhishek (13') capitalized on an attacking move, beating the South African goalkeeper to extend India's lead.
Despite South Africa's persistent attacks in the second quarter, India's defense remained composed and resolute, maintaining a clean sheet. Sumit (30') scored another field goal just before halftime, propelling India to a 3-0 lead.
South Africa increased their urgency to score after halftime, but the Indian defense stood firm. The third quarter witnessed intense action on both ends, but neither team managed to find the back of the net.
In the final 15 minutes, South Africa continued their quest for a goal, but India maintained control in the circle, thwarting any potential danger. As the final whistle blew, India secured a comfortable 3-0 victory.
India will wrap up their South Africa tour with a final game against the Netherlands on January 28.
