India's men's hockey squad concluded their FIH Pro League home leg triumphantly by defeating Ireland 4-0 on Sunday.
Nilakanta Sharma, Akashdeep Singh, Gurjant Singh, and Jugraj Singh secured goals for India, with Nilakanta and Jugraj scoring from penalty corners, while Akashdeep and Gurjant found the net with field efforts.
The Indian team dominated the game, securing a comfortable 2-0 lead by halftime.
Currently positioned third in the standings with 15 points from eight matches, India has recorded five wins (three outright victories and two shootout wins) and suffered three losses (one outright defeat and two shootout losses).
The Netherlands and Australia hold the top two spots with 26 and 20 points, respectively.
Under the leadership of Harmanpreet Singh, the team will continue their FIH Pro League campaign during the European leg scheduled for May-June.
