Middle-order batsman Shivam Dube maintained a steady hand, not out on 43 off 37 balls. Giving a promising debut, young Shaik Rasheed impressed with a 27 from 19 balls.

LSG was hit hard by early troubles during the powerplay in the first innings when Khaleel Ahmed and Anshul Kamboj hit with a wicket each. Even CSK's veteran spinner Ravindra Jadeja left a strong impact by coming back with 2 for 24 from his three overs.
