The game kicked off with Jamshedpur FC taking the lead courtesy of Rei Tachikawa's strike in the 22nd minute, defying the flow of the match. Despite the setback, Chennaiyin FC, led by Crivellaro and Jordan Murray, relentlessly tested Jamshedpur FC's goalkeeper T.P. Rehenesh.

Crivellaro continued to orchestrate attacks, supplying crucial passes to his teammates, including Farukh Choudhary and Vincy Barretto. The breakthrough for Chennaiyin FC came in the 52nd minute when Crivellaro capitalized on Rehenesh's error, slotting the ball into the top left corner.

Buoyed by the equalizer, Chennaiyin FC seized control of the game, with Rahim Ali sealing the victory in the 59th minute. Displaying remarkable agility, Rahim evaded the defense and fired a shot into the bottom left corner, leaving Jamshedpur FC's backline stunned.

The win extended Chennaiyin FC's unbeaten streak against Jamshedpur FC to four matches in the ISL, further solidifying their position in the league standings. Jamshedpur FC will look to bounce back when they face FC Goa on April 9, while Chennaiyin FC prepares to take on NorthEast United FC on the same day.
